Allowing Non-Administrators to monitor Backup Exec

We have users at multiple remote locations that we would like to be able to have access to backup exec without being a local administrator or domain administrator. How can we do this?

Give them ExecView. see the documentation for file system rights to the BackupExec directory that permit different levels of access within ExecView

Too bad you are not still on v8.x. ExecView 2.5 rocks and v3.0 (required with v9) sucks big time

But non-administrators can get to exec view without any admin rights?

It's been a while since I used it , and that was with v2.5, but the user's file system rights to the BackupExec directory governed what users could do.

NoOne can alter job definitions or create new jobs, but you can release jobs, respond to alerts, or just monitor job status

Hello,

What functions would you like the users to perform? Execview is a monitoring utility.

This is what would like your users to do?
