I'm attempting to backup a Win7 workstation using Backup Exec 2010 R2. According to Symantec documentation the "Log on as a batch job" privilege must be assigned to the Backup Exec logon account in order to backup a Win7/Server 2008 machine. The problem is that our domain security policy prohibits this privilege on our workstations. Does anyone know of a workaround? I opened a support case with Symantec and they said there was no alternative, but I'm hoping they're wrong.
Thanks,
Dennis

As it is already mentioned in the documentation and support confirmed that ther is no alterative, that's it.

Without adding BESA to "Log on as a batch job" BE will not be able to access the client
information, you will get credentails error.

Thank you for the replies. I hope Symantec can come up with an additional solution in a future release.
