Hi,

Symantec Backup Exec (tm) 11.0 (11d) for Windows Servers revision 7170 (x64bit)

Hotfixes 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 installed

Running:

SQL 2005

Exchange 2007

Sharepoint 2007 MOSS

Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 on Dell 2900 Dual Quad XEON.

When testing credentials for selections this happens:

Application Error -  Event ID: 1000 - Faulting application BkupExec.exe, version 11.0.7170.0, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.2.3790.4062, fault address 0x0000000000027d8d.

.NET Runtime 2.0 Error - Event ID: 1000 - Faulting application beremote.exe, version 11.0.7170.6, stamp 4656e5a4, faulting module exrpc32.dll, version 8.0.685.24, stamp 45726cfd, debug? 0, fault address 0x00000000000d85a0.

Hi,

Have you try running a repair on the .NET 2.0  and Backup Exec 11D .

Yes. Made absolutely no difference. Exact same error is still occuring.

This post is a little old, so I am not sure if I can help you, or if it is already fixed, but I ran into almost this exact same problem when I ran LiveUpdate in a remote desktop session. I downloaded the hotfixes and installed them at the console and it fixed the problem for me.
