We have several sites where we use backupexec (9 and 10). We always turn on the option automatic job cancellation after 6 hours.
For some reason this doesn't seem to work anymore. We have about 15 different sites where this problem exists.
The people on the notification list recieve a e-mail that te job is failed. The job viewer shows that the jobs have completed 100% and are succesfull. The max runtime of 6 hours is exceeded too. Some jobs have ran about 60 hours.
We have to stop the services, cancel the job, start the service and it runs fine for about a week.
In the image below u can see the last 3 jobs have completed succesfully, but exceeded the runtime of 6 hours. The people on the notify list have recieved a failed notification.
