I have a a 500GB USB HDD for each day of the week and everytime I do a backup the old backups don't get overwritten so every 2 weeks I have to manually delete the prior weeks backups. Is there a way I can overwrite the old backups so this doesn't happen anymore?

Go to Tools--Option --Media mangement

Make sure overwrite Recyclable media before scrratch media is checked .

So that when you run the job it first overwrite the old backup files whose overwrite protection period is over instead of creating new one ..
