Exchange 2010 Backup

We have a MS Exchange 2010 Server and we are taking backup using Symantec Backup exec 2010
Media Server: version 13.0 Rev. 2896 (64-bit)

Now for the last few days we are seeing that Job rate of Exchange 2010 backup have gone done drastically from 444 MB/min to 82 MB/min

Can anybody tell me the reason why and how can we resolve it ?

Are you baking upto tape or to disk ?
Check the schedule for the backup if conflickting with any other softwarei.e antivirus ?
Was there an update or changes made to the environment after which  the issue started ?
Is the issue just with backing up just exchange data or also the backup runs slow for normal file backups ?
IF running backup to tape make sure update the Drivers for the tape drive

Hi there,

Do you use LiveUpdate? If so, it IS possible that you downloaded an update that needs to be pushed out to your remote servers (asuming Exchange 2010 is on another server).
You can do this through a push install from the selection list you have. If any updates are available, these will be installed.
I also find that a recycle of the services, and a restart of the device itself sometimes helps.
