BACKUP EXEC 2010 R03 - JOB STAYS ACTIVE

Hi,

We recently converted to Backup Exec 2010R03 and encounter the following issue:

when the backup job finishes, the physical tape is eject from the LTO5 drive. However, the job remains active until we remove the tape by hand from the tapedrive. This is very annoying as be tend to rely on the "ALL OK" message that is send to our e-mail addresses.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

To resolve this problem follow the steps as below:

1) Go to Alerts tab in Backup Exec

2) On the left side pane click on "Configure Alert Cateory"

3) A small window will open. Select Media Remove category in this

4) Now on the right side select the option "Automatically Respond to Alert" after " 2 minutes" and Respond with YES

5) Click OK to save the changes

6) Now test the backup and see that the job will be completed as soon as the Media is ejected.
