I encounter a strange problem on my site with a backup job.
It is an existing job which al of a sudden decided to hang at the backup scan. It has run for years without problems.
The day before it decided to show this behavior the backup failed at the end (can't find an explanation in the log file since this is corrupt and doesn't really show what went wrong).
We use Veritas Backup Exec 10.0 Rev. 5484 (both media and console) in connection with a HP MSL6030 LTO 2 tape library.
The backup job backs up several servers through remote agents and also Lotus Notes (using Lotus Notes agent). My believe is that it is this last agent which gives the problem. When I try to view the selection list and try to select the notes databases the console seems to hang. A temp backup job which is not using the notes agent runs without problems.
