BE 10d with EMC DiskXtender

Customer is using EMC DiskXtender ver 6.10.040 and is backing up the environment.

He has successfully set up DiskXtender to move the files from local HDD to a NAS device (Mapped Network Drive). Using BE 10d he is trying to backup the environment without the purged files, but it follows the link and backs up the file from NAS device.

How does he set it up in Backup Exec to 1) only back up the stubs, or 2) no stubs at all?
