BE 11d slow job rate

I recently setup a new server for running Backup Exec. The old server is running Windows Server 2003 32 bit and the new server is running 2003 64 bit. Both servers have a Powervault 110t LTO-3 tape drive with the latest Symantec drivers loaded. I have version 11d with service pack 4 on both servers. I copied the backup job from the old server to the new server so they are both exactly the same job. On the old server I'm backing up 700gb in 16-17 hours averaging 750mb/min. On the new server the same 700gb took 34 hours at 425mb/min. Both servers are connected to a gigabyte switch that is connected to the servers being backed up with fiber. I don't understand why the new server is running so much slower than the old server. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So many variables here!  New hardware, new OS, new drivers...

You'll have to perform some localized testing to isolate where the bottleneck is.  Backup local files to disk to a local storage target, and compare
back up to tape some large multi GB files and compare.
