I’ve recently had a server crash, but I have everything backed up to tapes so no worries, so I put tapes into the drive and found the files I wanted to restore, I then had to reinstall Windows on another drive on the same machine so I didn’t restore the files when I first found them and when I reinstalled backup exec onto the new Windows installation and catalogued the media it couldn’t find the files I wanted. It was as if it found them originally and now will not show them again. I’ve tried a few other tapes and I get exactly the same problem.
Depending on when you used that tape, it might not be showing. You can do 1 of 2 things:
1. Right-click the tape and choose to restore data from it; or..
2. Select a date manually in the restore selection that is before that tape was last used.
