BE 2012 - importing 11d catalogs

Hi,

Can someone point me in the right direction for a guide on importing media from BE 11d on Windows 2003 server to BE 2012 on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 server? Unless it's simply a matter of running a catalogue job on the tapes and then performing a restore?

If my BE 2012 tape drive is in the HCL and is capable of reading BE11 tapes is there anything else I need to be aware of? I'm specifically thinking along the lines of any LTO conflicts.

Thanks

There should not be any concern regarding LTO, other than bearing in mind that LTO drives can only read 2 generation back.  For example, a LTO5 can only read LTO3 and LTO4 tapes.  If you have LTO1 or LTO2 tapes then you are out of luck.

Another thing to bear in mind is application compatibility.  For example, you cannot restore an Exchange 2003 mailbox onto an Exchange 2010 server.
