BE 9.1 / 11d license question

Question: My company is currently running BackupExec 9.1, and recently purchased SQL Agent licenses. The licenses seem to be BackupExec 11d licenses. Can I use these with 9.1? I've tried adding the licenses, but 9.1 insists that they are invalid, and the import utility won't accept the key file that Symantec emailed me. Is there a way for me to do this? Or are we going to have to upgrade to BE 11d or purchase 9.1 SQL Agent licenses?

Never tried with Symantec, but with Veritas, you could contact Support, provide the serials and ask for prior version serials to match

If that doesn't work, return the v11d serials and see if you can find any v9.1 serials on EBay or Craig's List

Those are about the only places you'll find v9.x serials available now

or since v9.1 has been end-of-life for more than a year now, you could just bite the bullet and upgrade
