Hi,
Updated one windows 2008R2 enteprise server with SP1. After that the Backup exec agent for windows won't start automatically on this server on boot. however it can be started manually from windows services.msc page.
On that problem windows the agent was a bit out of date when SP1 was installed.
Updated the Backup Exec 2010 R2 with the latest updates and then tried to push the agent again from the Backup Exec server, install went fine but no help.
There are two software on the problem server: F-secure management system and Watchguard Firebox Management and it's logging service. Windows server is running on Vmware ESX 4.0.
Does this problem sound familiar to anyone?

Is there any error message in the event viewer.

Sorry, forgot the error message, here it is from windows log:
The Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Systems service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
and
A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Systems service to connect.

Thanks for the link, but there are no email clients installed on that server.

...have you made sure that the AV isn't blocking the RAWS agent from running?

Nothing in AV log about BE agent. Windows firewall is also disabled.
The BE agent starts ok on boot IF I set the BE agent-service on services.msc page: recovery: first failure: restart service, second failure: restart service.
