Each time i reboot BE server my Oracle backups stops working. I have to go to BE settings, change Oracle backup port to some other, applay, go to BE settings again and set the old port, applay and restart BE services. No changes are required on client (DB) side. It is really getting on my nerves.
After a reboot i tried to telnet to BE server on DB backup port and it seems to be opened. I have IPv6 disabled and BE media server is up-to-date.
Anyone have any ideas?
Exact error msg:

TECH58180 describes the issue, except that it repeats on each reboot.

I had that issue once, no t in 2012 on 2010.
The issue was the account being used to access Oracle, I think it didn¿t have enought permissions. Try that.
Take a look here, it may help, but this was not what I did back then, but it has the step-by-step about what you need to configure for ORA backups http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH178688

Thanks for info but I had that tehchnote covered and my Oracle host is a Windows. The weird thing is that as i mentioned, the backup works, just the reboot screw things up.

If its a Windows, then take a look here http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH7563 and here http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH60001

Thank you, but again - those do not relate exactly to my problem. They are instructions to configure Oracle backup, and i completed them step by step before, and my backup works... untill BE server reboot :(
