BUExec 8.5:Unable to restore. Restore window empty.

When choosing "RESTORE" tab, no media appears under the left pane where the "All Media" globe resides. The "Selection List Names" drop down list only shows . From the "MEDIA" tab, go to the "User Media Sets" (on (L) pane) - then "Media Set 1" - holds the catalogs, which appear on (R) pane). When (R) clicking on the JUST freshly created catalog and choosing "RESTORE", the following error appears: "The selected media was not found in the catalogs, you must first catalog the media if you want to use it for restore operations." No matter how many tapes we catalog, the same error occures. Backups do show as "Successfully Completed". Backups are worthless without the ability to restore. *.5 is no longer supported and I am reluctant to upgrade without knowing the cause of this problem. - Please Help. Guy Richardson

This was EXACTLY the fix to this issue. After following the instructions - I was able to run the restore function. Thank you Ken for you help !! - Guy Richardson
