Background Exec Remote Agent needing restart

Hello,

I'm running Symantec Backup Exec 10d for Windows Servers.
I have 2 servers that once or twice a month have their backups fail. I need to go on to these servers and restart the 'Background Exec Remote Agent' service, then they backup fine for a week or two. All other servers backup fine - the problem lies consistently with these two.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Are you at the lastest build (5629) and SP (SP4)?

Have you tried re-installing the RAWS code?

Not sure what you mean by 're-installing the RAWS code'.

Uninstall / Boot/ Install the Remote agent on the problem server
