(I apologize up front if I fail to communicate this effectively)
I am running BE 7170 SP2 on a Windows 2003 server that has 2 network interfaces. A front end and backend network. The vast majority of my backups run across this "backend" gigabit network through the use of "User Defined Selections" I do this simply by specifying the IP address of the host I wish to backup.
For my Exchange server however, if I attempt to backup Exchange using the agent via a "User Defined Selection", the Exchange specific choices are not available to me. The only way the Exchange specific selections are available to me is if I select my Exchange server from under "Domains" (whether it is an Active Directory or Microsoft Network selection matters not). This of course uses my frontend network
Is this simply a limitation of the software or am I missing something simple?
