Backing up SQL 2000 Virtual Server on Virtual Server R2

I've migrated my SQL 2000 server from a physical host to a Virtual Server R2 virtual host and the only thing outstanding is my ability to use 9.1 to properly backup the virtual SQL server.

The media server has the SQL agent installed and the remote server agent has been pushed to the SQL virtual server (and rebooted) but I am unable to view the \\Server\Shadow Copy Components\SQL Server tree when browsing the virtual SQL server.

The various regedit entries mentioned in other posts have been applied to no avail.

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify the above set up, I have:

Backup Server
-------------
Windows 2003
Backup Exec 9.1 with SQL Agent and OFO

Virtual SQL Server
------------------
Windows 2003
SQL Server 2000
Remote Backup Agent with OFO enabled

(host physical machine is Windows 2003 running Virtual Server 2005 R2)

The backup server is unable to see the SQL databases as part of Shadow Copy Components on the virtual SQL server.

Thanks for any suggestions!
