Backup EXCH 2003 with 11D Hangs forever on "Update Catalog"

Hello, just reinstalled a Backup exec 11d for my client (moved it from an old server to a brand new one) after completing a EXCH DB backup job (which was very fast) it is now hanged on "updating catalog". even after i have canceled the job it still hanged on a "cancel pending" status...the succer just wouldn't die i had to kill the backup server (restart) in order to stop it. tha version of the 11d is SP5. i'll appreciate any assistance on this.

Hello,

1  : Stop all the BE Services and the SQL Service for Backup Exec.
2  : Go to C:\Program files\Symantec\Backup Exec
3  : Rename the CATALOGS folder to CATALOGS.OLD and create a new CATALOGS folder (blank)
4  : Start the SQL Service first and then BE Services.
5  : Run Catalog job

There were lot of issue when exchange backup at the end stuck on the updating catalog because it create the catalog at the end to create the GRT information.
Please reboot the server and try the backup again and see if it gets stuck again on updating catalog
