Dear All,
We are using Symantec Backup Exe 2010 for backing up the file server data, while backing up it will give us error as below,
Please Help us, we have tried all the way but, problem still persists
Final error: 0xe00084f8 - The network connection to the Backup Exec Remote Agent has been lost. Check for network errors.
Final error category: Resource Errors

While this Error, we have observed
1. services of the server, service Backup ExE remote agent for windows system getting stopped
2. Application Events:

Referred to older versions of BE. But i think you can give a try..

Why don't you upgrade to BE 2010 R3 which fixes a lot of problems. Your existing licence keys will work. R3 can be downloaded from either the fileconnect site or www.backupexec.com

After upgrading to BE2010 R3 also getting the issue frequently.
the service of beremote.exe getting stopped.
faulting beremote.exe, faulting module name msvcr80.dll
any suggestion, help highly appreaciated

I've been having the same problem since I upgraded to BUE 2010 R2. I found documentation that said the problem was fixed in 2010 R3, so we upgraded. The problem still exists.
Every other day or so, the Backup Exec Job Engine Service fails, subsequently, all the jobs fail. I have to reboot the server to get the service to come back online.
More recently, I'm getting the following error in the event log (probably because it's failed so many times)
EventID 258: "Process bengine.exe requested memory dump but the maximum number of memory dumps has already been reached."
Also
EventID 1000: "Faulting application name: bengine.exe, version: 13.0.5204.109, time stamp: 0x4e18e5ec

Hi,
Is this issue occurring when backing up Volume managed by a Macintosh file and print sharing application (Like ExtremeZ-IP)
Please find the following article related to errors found in Application event log and try the suggested workaround.

Change the Backup Exec FsUseAsyncIo registry key to 0 on the server where the Backup Exec remote agent service is terminating even if you are not using ExtremeZ-IP like third party utility as I have noticed this issue getting fixed by implementing the suggested workaround in the above technical article.

I'm having the exact same problems when trying to restore the contents of a users mailbox into another mailbox. It seems to get all the deleted items restored, but then crashes before it gets the inbox restored. I updated to R3 and deployed all the latest hotfixes. I tried the suggested solution of modifing the regkey on the agent server, but it didn't make a difference.
