Backup Exec 10 Windows Agent

We have 2 servers one is currently being backed up by a full install of Backup Exec 9.0 for Windows. Is it possible to install and licence a backup Exec 10 Windows Agent on the other server to allow the server with the full backup Exec 9.0 install to backup both servers.

Hello,

Do you mean that you have two Remote windows servers say "Server A" and "Server B" and you are backing up Server A using BE v9.0 and you want to install the BE v10.0 remote agent on the Server B so that you can backup both Server A and Server B using BE v 9.0?

If this is the case then please note that it is not possible.Remote agent version should be same as the Backup exec version.

And BE v 10.0 licenses are not compatible with BE v9.0.

If our understanding regarding your issue is incorrect please elaborate.
