I am having some trouble with cataloguing media, what happened is that the server ran out of space during a backup, now space has been cleaned up but the catalogue for the backup is missing.
When I try to catalogue the media it will only catalogue one tape when I try the next tape it over writes what is has catalogued from the first tape.
How do you catalogue a backup that spans more then one tape????
Not sure if 11D has the same options - but in the 12.5 Backup Exec console if you select Tools -->Options from the menu and then click Catalog in the side bar, you get some options
Try changing the settings of "Request all media in the sequence for catalog operations" and "Use Storage Media Based Catalogs" and see if it makes a difference when you catalog the media

The tape drive is a HP Autoloader 1/8 so it is has a robotic library, the tapes are all inventoried before I try a catalogue.
