We have Backup Exec 11d rev.7170 installed on a standalone media server and remote agents installed on our servers, one of which is a windows 2003 R2 SP2 virtual host (hardware node) with Parallels Virtual Container for Windows 4.0. We are trying to back up virtual container files (like the .vhd files in MS VM). But we could only get the empty folders/subfolders, while NTbackup running directly on the virtual host will back them up with no problem.
The job will be successful but no virtual container files are backed up. I suspect it's something to do with VSS but haven't found any errors. I already went through Parallels' support document and tried the Backup Exec backup option adjustment.
Any ideas?
