I've been trying to use the backups from an SBS 2003 R2 server to restore to a different hardware platform (the old server an IBM x246 then new an IBM x3200). I have had no luck, whatever method I try after the restoration it goes into the "Loading Windows" screen and stays there forever.
I tried booting into "Directroy restore" and restoring through an agent with the same results. Has anybody had any luck building a new box using the backup from a different SBS 2003 R2 server.
