Backup Exec 12.5 "File in use" Skipped SQL2000

Afternoon.

I have been wrestling with this problem for a while.   I am able to create a test job, select all, some, or one database on the server (SQL 2000), tests all run fine.

When I actually go to run the backup, each database returns the same error:

Database \DB was not found, or could not be accessed.
The item db1.domain.local \DB is in use - skipped.

-I removed all the agents from the machine, reinstalled, reinstalled the licenses for Remote Agent, SQL Agent

-I changed the authentication account to my DB adming  DOMAIN\DBAdmin  made sure that user is  dbo on all of the databases on the server.

-Specified that user as the Credential account in BEX

Same issues.   As a test I ran backup from Enterprise manager, and was able to backup the .BAK files normally.  It seems the server can connect to the Backup Exec Remote agent just fine.

Thoughts on what I should try next?

We are using the full version of 32bit SQL 2000 in a 64bit 2003 r2 server.

I'll grab the hotfix and give it a shot

That did the trick.

Thanks all!
