Hy,
We make a FULL VStorage Backup from 2 Virtual Machines every day. But we get the error: V-79-57344-38211
In this KB there is this Solution:
Add the BESA in the "Administrator" role on the VMWare Virtual Center to resolve the issue.
But this does not work. (BackupUser is DomainAdmin also)
Our System:
Windows 2008 R2
Backup Exec 2010 R3 - SP1
VSphere 5.0 - ESXi 5.0
Thank you for your help.

Hello Zerakus,
The require Role Would be the Administrator in the vcenter.
Freom Vcenter Highlight the datastore and select Permission and Add the backup exec SLA account to the admin Group.
Also Could You Please Try using ESX IP address instead of the vcenter server name from the selection list.
>> Right click on the Vmware Vcenter and Select Manage vmware Vcenter and ESX server
>> Configure the IP address
>> when asjked for Credentials , Create a new account with root as username and password for the root account to access the ESX
>> rerun the Job and see how it goes.

Hy APR,
I will try now Backup direct over the ESXi Server.
My SLA User allready have the Administrator Role. But the SLA User is not a local Admin on the VCenter, he is in the Administrator Group, because the SLA User is a Domain User.
I will let you know if it work direct over the ESXi.
Has anybody a other solution? Thank you

...is your media server a VM?
10-25-2011 03:59 AM
No, it is a physical Server.
One more Information:
We "collect" the VM´s over network and NOT over SAN.

I mean this:
See my comments there.
Also to add virtual servers one by one, and check if the problem still occurs.
