Hello, I am using:

Symantec Backup Exec 2010 for Windows Servers,

Remote agent for Linux ,using oracle 11G

Linux agent abnormal

I try change port ID ,same problem

Have you changed the port the proper way ?

Also check what other program is using port 10000:

lsof -Pnl +M -i4

Also check that your variant of Linux is supported. See the SCL below

BE 2010|2010 R2|2010 R3 Software (SCL)

Also note that Oracle 11g R2 is not supported on the Linux platform.

I have change prot to 12000,20000,15000.....

same issue.

Check SCL ...

Redhat 5.6 is supported.

Oracle 11G R1 is supported.

so ,have the iSCSI storage and Backup Lan used same IP

You should disable IPv6 on your Linux server.

From the error, it appears that your server address is already taken.

I had the same error (Sunny_qin), change NDMP for 12000, 12010, 10001, etc.. and the error remained. I knew that was configured port 10000 for webmin, so change the port of webmin and keep the NDMP for port 10000, the error persists however achievement trust between the agent linux and the console and you can make backups.
