Backup Exec 9.1 Engine stops

For the last two weeks we have not been able to get a backup - in the morning we get a message that the server lost connection to the backup exec engine. The services icon shows that they are stopped. They will restart normally.

Yesterday, I installed SP4a for BE 9.1. After the install, we rebooted the server.

Today, I found the following error in the event log:
Faulting application bengine.exe, version 9.1.4691.54, faulting module ipvlapi.dll, version 9.1.4691.19, fault address 0x00007524.

Any ideas would be great !

Thanks,

Gary

Update: The error in the log is:
The network connectio to the Backup Exec Remote Agent has been lost. Please check for network errors. A timeout occurred while waiting for completion of media server processing.

We are on one SBS Server with no remote agents.

Hi,

Please register ipvlapi.dll files using the command regsvr32 ipvlapi.dll.

Does this error occur on a particular backup job? Are you also backing up the databases in the same job? Try splitting the job.

Repair BE database:
