Backup Exec 9.1 with Onstream DI-30

Hi

I have an Onstream DI-30 device.
I have installed Veritas 9.1, and the drive is listed on the devices tab, however I am unable to use it with the current media that I have, as it is ADR, which is not listed as an option when I run the device configuration wizard?

Is there a way that I can use what I have with Veritas 9.1, or am I going to need to get another tape drive?

Thanks in advance

Bruce

Hello,

First of all verify if the device is listed in the Veritas Hardware compatibility list.

Below is the link

(title) Where to find a list of supported devices for VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) and the latest drivers for supported tape drives and robotic libraries
http://support.veritas.com/docs/251466

If the device is tested the install Veritas drivers ,if its
compatible then install OEM drivers.

(title)VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 - Device Driver Installer (20050115) - Includes Tape Driver Release (20041231) and Robotic Library Release (45) (Intel Only)

http://support.veritas.com/docs/273853

if the device is not listed in HCL then you would have to get tape drive which is supported.

NOTE : If we do not receive your intimation within two business days, this post would be "assumed answered" and archived.
