Backup Exec Remote Agent for Netware corrupting files..

We're having numerous issues with Backup Exec 11d. We installed the Remote Agent for Netware and during a full backup it seems that the backup job is corrupting files on this Netware Server.
 
The backup was causing the server to abend, so we turned off the Open File option in the job.
 
We are using Backup Exec 11d for Windows with all the liveupdates.
 
The Novell server in question is OES SP6 on a HP DL 380 G4.
 
Has anyone had any similar issues??

What exactly do you mean by 'corrupting files'?

What module caused the abend (take a look at sys:\system\abend.log)? You mentioned that you turned off the open file option - does the server still abend?

Update,
   It seems we think we found the issue. Not realizing that BE "Advance Open File" option in the job does not apply to RANW(as it has its own OFO that isn't controlled in the Windows media server), it was turned on. We think that caused corruption of files on the server.
 
 Also, on the Novell servers, we use volume compression. So we are not sure if there's any issues with OFO and compressed novell volumes.
