Backup Exec and Two Domains.

Here is my situation.
I have two domains which are not physicaly connected.
And I need to backup both of my file servers.
So I plug a second network card on my backup exec server and physicaly connect it to the second domain.

When I try to access the second domain from the remote selections I get an error that the device is not connected (or something like that)

I have created a logon account for the second domain but when I make a manual selection of \\(2ndfileserver)\drive\*.* I cannot change the resource credentials to the correct account (change is greyd out).

What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?

To backup the server in an other domain there are basically 2 things which you need to do

1.Trust needs to be established between domains.

2.The second thing is Backup Exec service account should be a part of the local admin group of other domain.

3.Ensure that all the rights for this account is given.
For more details please refer to the document below.

As an additional information kindly refer the following:-

Title:- All selections for a remote server in VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.x for Windows Servers are unavailable for selection.

We hope this helps. Let us know if the problem still exists and revert back with the error message.
