Backup Exec with Travan Seagate Certance Tapestor40 20-40 GB

Hallo,

or the Data Backup we are using a Travan Drive with the capacity of 10/20 GB. At the moment we can `t make a full Backup, because the compressed Data are more than 10 GB. So we are thinking that we shoud buy a Travan Seagate Certance Tapestor 20-40 GB IDE Drive. The question is now: Can we use the Backup-Exec 8.6 for Windows 2000 SBS Software with this drive / medium. I was looking at the following link, but the drive wasn`t listed there:

So if sombebody has experience with this combination, give me please an anwser. If this solution isn`t possible, I think we`ve to buy new software...

The drive may be newer than the compatibility list

As long as there is a manufacturer driver for your OS (W2K, I assume), there is no reason that the drive should not work.
