Hi,
We backup a few files on a network share directly from a unix server without an agent. Is there anyway to get rid of the error about no agent being detected? An agent isnt required and we dont really want one installed on this particular machine? but the backup stating that it FAILS is quite annoying when really it doesnt.
Thanks for the help
David

Backup should complete with execption - "No Remote agent being detected"
Atleast 1 remote agent license should be installed in BE for user share backup to work.
If you think share backup is working and its still stating fail, then could be an issue with selection list
try creating a new selection list \backup job.
Also try to check about exact part in job log or history where backup may be failling.

There is no way to get rid of the missing agent message unless you install RALUS on the Unix machine. This is a common situation with users who are backing up shares on a NAS which they cannot install a remote agent. You would just have to live with it or install RALUS on the Unix machine.
