I ran a backup job and it finished backing up to the first media tape. When it tried to continue backing up on the second media tape, the job hangs and the tape never loads. The Job Status show its loading media and my backup unit shows the tape to be loaded but the backup job doesn't continue. I'm using a VXA Autopak device running on Windows 2003. Please help!
Do you get any alerts in the backup exec alerts tab when the job hangs? What tape are you using for the job? What type of a backup are you running? Is it an overwrite job or append job? Also check the Overwrite protection and append periods for the media set that you are using.
