Hi,
I have a media server with BEWS 12.0 rev. 1364 service pack 4.  Every day we do backups and restores of SQL 2000 y 2005 databases.
A few days ago, we had to migrate one server from SQL 2005 to 2008. I do backups and restores of SQL 2008 databases without problems...until now.

Today, one restore job finished with the folowing error message:

An error occurred on a query to database <database_name>
V-79-57344-33938 - Logical file 'sysft_ParamPersonasCatalogo' is not part of database <database_name>. Use RESTORE FILELISTONLY to list the logical file names

Looking for information about, i find this pdf file:
http://eval.symantec.com/mktginfo/enterprise/other_resources/b-symc_backup_exec_2010_comparison_208...

Is the backup BEWS 12.5 the firt version with support for Microsoft SQL 2008 ?
I have to migrate inmediately to 12.5 or 2010 ?

As suggested by Sazz you need to upgrade to backup exec 12.5 or 2010 to backup you Sql 2008 database.
Currently as workaround you can backup the database using the Sql mangement studio and then backup the bak files using backup exec .
You would need to update the License to upgrade the licenses as well and get in touch with the Licensing dept  .

Yes 12.5 is the first version that supported sql 2008. So please upgrade to 12..5 or to 2010 as both of them are compatible with sql 2008.
