Backup Schedule Backup Exec 2014

hi

I have a two sql servers named SQ1 and SQ2. both sql server have same database. SQ2 server always offline. if SQ1 server down any case SQ2 become online. i need to create a backup schedule if SQ1 offline  autamatically get  SQ2 full backup.

Hi,

Are these 2 servers part of a cluster? If so, refer to the best practices below, as well as the BE 2014 Admin Guide where it has a section on configuring backups of clusters:

Basically, install the BE AWS (remote agent) on each node, and then run a cluster configuration wizard to set this up on the media server.

Once done, select the virtual node (you can select anything else on the 2 physical nodes) to ensure that no matter which node is active, the resources get backed up.

Apart from installing AWS on both nodes of the cluster, you need to have 2 Agent for Applications and Databases licences.
