Backup error message

I get the following error message after a backup:
VSS snapshot error. A Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service snapshot is already running on the target computer. Only one snapshot can run at a time. Try running the job later.

Does anybody know how to resolve this problem?

Hi,

If you are trying to run a backup of Exchange database, ensure that Exchange is not selected in "User data" in "Shadow Copy Components"...

Hi,

I don't see a directory called "User Data" in "Shadow Copy Components". Where is this?

Thanks.

Hi,

I have looked at the link but I am having trouble finding the "Host Properties". Where is this?

Thank you again for anyone who can help.

Hello Mahsa,

Please reboot the server as the previous snapshot may not have been cleared.

Also refer to the following KB article from MS: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;833167
It gives an update for windows 2003 servers.

If you are backing up any database, plase split the backup, do not use aofo during db backups.

We apologise for the link i gave in the earlier reply, it does not apply for backup exec!
