Backup exec 10d

When we remotely access a windows 2000 SP4 server and try to open up backupexec 10d fitted with a SONY AIT-2 tape drive, the application freezes at the splash screen and does not allow us to get into the application.
Ran BEutility and added in the media server as the server it is installed on.
Anyone any ideas on this. Has not worked since installing the other day.
Know it works as we have it running at other sites.

-- Can you pinf BACKUP EXEC server from and to remote server with Name and IP ?

-- Have you installed remote admin console or trying to access over remote desktop connection ?

-- Any event ids generated ?
