I'm backing up my Exchange Server through Backup Exec 11d and for some reason, when it goes to verify the backup, it pretty much hangs up - it sits there without any activity for hours and hours. When it stops like this, it interrupts email flow. Nobody can send or receive email internally or externally. I looked at the Exchange Services and they are still running. The only thing we could do was cancel the backup job and reboot exchange and email flow returns to normal. We have all the updates installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Backup Exec is not installed on the Exchange Server - therefore the Exchange Server is just running the agent. We are backing up to a Tape Library. I'm not really sure if that fix is installed or not. I'll check that out.
