Backup iniates on time but starts later

I run differential back ups on w2k servers using BE 9.1 during the weekdays beginning at 7 p.m and full back up on weekends. Recently, I have noticed the backup jobs for Monday and Tuesday initiate at the scheduled time but the job log says they started at 0400 the next day. This is occuring only either of the two specified days. I have no processes that run during the night that would interfer with these jobs. Where might I find a reason and a fix for this?

Check the days and time window on which the job should run.
I myself noticed that BE sometimes looses track of time and then I need to change the 'Effective Date' into the current date to make the job run again.
