Backup job on 4 slot partition

I have a four slot partition (5-8) used for a weekly and month end full backup. When these jobs run, Backup Exec 9.1 pulls the tape from slot 6 instead of the first slot which is slot 5. Has anyone experiences this before and/or know how to go about resolving this issue?

My server is w2k sp 4.

When BackupExec starts an Overwrite job, it grabs the "oldest" tape that it can see first (the on that has been in overwrite status longest

Before the next job, just re-label the tape in that partition starting with slot 5, and you should be good to go.

Thank you for your reply. I took a look at the media tab to see what the dates on all of the specified jobs and they are all out of wak. I will be doing alot of relabling.
