Backup of INFORMIX Database

Hi
Is there any possibility to backup INFORMIX database directly without exporting it ?. Currently I am exporting our Informix database and then taking backup. It is unnecessary time consiming job.

So if there is any possibility for the backup of Informix database directly, please help me.

You could try using the AOFO, but if you do, have your resume dusted off and updated. AOFO was NOT designed for database files

Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers does not provide a dedicated agent to Backup/restore Informix Database on IBM/AIX platforms.
You would like to refer to the following technote:

However backup/restores of Informix Databases is supported by Veritas Netbackup.
