Backup problems (pre/post commands)

I have made scripts (.bat) files which turn sql database off before taking backup from server. Another script start database after backup. Backup exec gives error messages about pre/post commands did not complete on time. Scripts doesnt need more than 5 seconds perform commands. Time is configuren on 30 minutes which should be enough. What should i do to avoid these error messages?

Try to change the Timeout value in Registry referring the document given below and then check if the Post job command works successfully.
