Backup to Disk

I am testing backing up to disk right now. I can not figure out how to set a backup disk to say 500GB and never grow past that and recycle itself. I want the job to backup as many times as it can in that 500GB space, then once it fills up to start overwriting the data in previous jobs.

Is their a guide or white paper on how to manage disk based media? I have tried doing some searches but can not find anything that has helped me.
