Backup to disk question

I'm running BE 2010 R3, and I have something weird going on with my backup to disk setup. I currently have 2 backup to disks set up (see below) I went to go add another drive (G) to my rotation, and when I plugged it in, it changed Ext 2's path to g:\backup so I couldn't actually go add another backup to disk. Is there a way to prevent this?

B2D Name                  Path

Ext 1                          e:\backup

Ext 2                          f:\backup

Ext 3 (desired)            g:\backup

Is there already a backup2disk folder on the drive (I assume USB disk) that you plugin into the server ?

Are you trying to setup Standard Backup to Disk folder or are you selecting Removable Backup To Disk folder...??

Thanks,

If it's a removable device. Follow the appropriate wizard under tools.

If you want to rotate disks, you should give each B2D folder its own directory.  See my article on this subject.

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/how-rotate-external-harddisks

Although it is written before R3 is out, it is still applicable to R3.

You could be facing the problem described in these
