Backup up an FTP site

Is it possible for BE 2010 R3 to backup directly FROM an ftp site?

No, such a feature does not exist in Backup Exec.

What you can do is schedule an FTP download to a local folder with your FTP tool, and backup that folder with Backup Exec.
