Hello All:

     I am new to using Backup Exec 2010, and need to know how can I delete files from the SDLT cartridge?  I have been unable to find an answer looking thru the BackupExec.pdf Admin's guide.  If anyone can point me to a solution, I would appreciate it.  Thanks.

You cannot delete individual files from your backup tapes.

What you can do is to format / erase your tapes. This will remove all data from it.
Select the tape that is in your drive, right click and selec (quick) erase.

You can either run an erase job which will delete all the data from the cartridge or you may assign

the cartridge to the scratch media set, during next overwrite operation the cartridge will be 

overwritten by the new backup job.
