Hi,

In order to isolate the issue, please perform the following:

- Reapply MDAC 2.8 from the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c&DisplayLang=en

(copy and paste full link)

- Please perform a repair database. Open BEUTILITY.EXE from \program files\veritas\backup exec\NT.

Select All media server by right clicking, add the media server and select repair database from the task pane on the left.

If the problem still persists then please perform a repair installation. Verify the results.

Put the Beserver, beremote and BE job engine services in debug mode. Please refer to the following technote:

Try performing a backup and verify the results.

We hope this will help.
