Backupexec 10d starter edition?

I have Backupexec 10D starter edition on 2003 server 4 users, small company, their database software is used under the microsoft SQL server, so when I backup it always skips the data under that folder, what do I need to make this backup? I've been told I need to purchase $1200.00 worth of backuexec software and that is as much as they paid for the server. I was told I can't add the SQL agent to the starter edition. Please Help..........

I don't even know if StarterEdition will accept database serials.

if it does you have three choices, if not then only two choices

1) Stop SQL Server and do a flat file backuop (not a realistic choice, I know)

2) Set up a SQL Dump to disk (through enterprise manager) and then grab that/those files with a flat file backup

3) Purchase the serial for MSSQL
